Summary

Reporting to the Director of Mobile Technology, the Mobile Build & Release Engineer is responsible for developing and implementing build and release automation for complex, multi-tier, distributed applications throughout the full lifecycle of the software; writing automated application store submission scripts; and maintaining release documentation.

Duties

Maintains deliverables from the Director of Mobile Technology including build reports, production application submissions, and development team ad hoc distribution.

Works closely with the Mobile Software Architect and Director of Mobile Technology on implementation of deliverables.

Implement continuous build/integration 

Creates various automated builds for iOS, Java (Android/BlackBerry), and .NET platforms 

Writes automation to enable efficient application submission to App Store, App Market, and App World

Writes automated tests to sanity check builds, installs and upgrades 

Creates and maintains a distribution methodology for apps in development

Typically works on 2-3 major initiatives concurrently.

Specific Accountabilities

iOS client application build & release.

Android client application build & release.

BlackBerry client application build & release.

Windows Phone 7 client application build & release.

API build & release.

Core systems build & release.

Knowledge/Skills/Experience:

3-5 years of experience in related technologies

NAnt build automation software 

Ability to write automation scripts for applications written in Java (Android/BlackBerry), iOS, and .NET

Good understanding of the integration between automated software test and the build process

Competency in both Windows and Macintosh environments

Proven experience to thrive in a complex software systems involving multi-platform development environment

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Education

B.S. in Computer Science or Computer Engineering required.
